Akshay Kumar surprised all as he managed to go about unnoticed at a theatre in the city. The star of ‘Housefull 5’ headed over to the cinema hall to get first-hand audience reviews after the screening of his film.Dressed in baggy jeans, a loose-fitting shirt and the film’s Killer Mask, the actor went about among a theatre full of people asking them questions about the film and for their honest reivews. While some walked right past him, others seemed overjoyed to give their honest feedback. Unaware of the man behind the mask, fans spoke freely, most of them praising the comedy and giving it a thumbs up and expressing how much they enjoyed Akshay’s performance and even the dance performances in the film. Others even took note of how similar his mask was to the one used in the movie.The actor took to Instagram on Sunday to share the video of his undercover operation, which he captioned, “Bas yun hi I decided to wear the killer mask and interview people coming out of the Housefull5 show at Bandra today. Pakda jaane wala thaa end mein but bhaag gaya us se pehle. Mast experience.”Fans were quick to react to the stunt. One user commented, “Koi pehchan bhi nahi paaya. Crazy paaji,” while another joked, “Was waiting for him to take off the mask like Robert Downey Jr.”The actor’s latest outing, Housefull 5, opened to a promising start at the box office. According to estimates by Sacnilk.com, the film collected approximately Rs 55 crore in its first two days. The production house, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, claimed an even higher domestic net figure of Rs 56.73 crore. The film earned Rs 24.35 crore on Day 1, followed by Rs 32.38 crore on Day 2.Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film brings back the franchise’s signature slapstick comedy, this time with a mega cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir.The Housefull franchise began in 2010 and has since become one of Bollywood’s most commercially successful comedy series.
